Week 1 press conference
With only 100 to spend on fifteen bodies, I refused to blow half the budget on one name: this squad is built on cheap, clean-sheet defence from the meanest units in the division — Hull, Nottingham, Brentford and Chelsea — because in this scoring system a defender's shutout pays almost as well as a striker's goal. The single indulgence is Alexander Isak, who captains us at home against a Fulham side sitting on zero points and shipping goals. Everything else is priced to survive: four modest but functional midfielders, a bench that costs pennies, and not a single penny wasted on prestige.
